Some people think that when they try to look for a job online then the rules of traditional job searching do not necessarily apply. But this is a completely wrong view of the online job hunting process.

You should maintain the same level of professionalism whether you are applying in a traditional manner or online. You should maintain and send a professional looking resume, first and foremost. And you should also be punctual if the employer wants to interview you online through chat. And if the employer wants to interview you through video chat, at the very least you should wear something presentable and not your pajamas.

1)	It is convenient. This is especially true for those who can’t afford to leave the house regularly like new mothers and home-based employees. However, this can also work well for those who do a lot of travelling. As an online teacher, I have students from all over the world who have very diverse schedules. Some take lessons early in the morning before going to work, while others take them in the middle of the day during their lunch break or in the evening after work.

2)	You learn at your own pace. It is not just teachers who deal with different levels of students that benefit from this, but students as well. Competition inside the classroom can be discouraging to students at times, especially if they are on the losing end. Online learning can help produce a more relaxed and encouraging atmosphere. Homework submissions like searching the Australia business directory to find out the latest Australian hotspot, can also be done at the pace of the student. This is most effective for those who have full time jobs and have their own deadlines to meet at work.

3)	It is more affordable. Online education is much cheaper than a regular classroom set-up. Online tutorial institutions have no need to rent for classrooms or a building for their students, which is where a large chunk of the student’s fee usually goes. This decrease in cost can, in turn, allow these institutions to charge for a much lesser price.

So for those who are either on-the-go, home-stayed or are just too busy to attend regular classes, online education is probably the best, most convenient method of learning for you.

Different industries and functions require different skills. Most interviewers have function- and industry-related questions that would allow them to know whether an applicant has the specific needs skill set necessary for the job or not. Below are some work functions and questions employers usually ask for each of them.

1)	Consulting. If you are applying to a consulting firm, technical questions like ‘How is the consulting industry structured?’ or ‘What was the profitability of your last employer?’ may come up.

2)	Sales and Trading. One of the most common open-ended questions for this function is ‘Why didn’t you choose corporate finance?’ This is a leading question that can open a lot of doors to misguided answers if you are not prepared. Interviewers look for positive, and often unconventional, answers that may give them an idea on the level of skills you may have to contribute.

3)	Marketing. For example, if you are looking for a job as a market analyst for a company that sells domain names, the interviewer may ask you how you sell your ideas to people. This question has a very broad spectrum and can give you an opportunity to mention some accomplishments you’ve had in selling ideas in the past.

Whether you are applying as an Investment firm specialist or a Venture capitalist, it is always good to be prepared for job-specific questions. Make sure you have done enough research and company background check, especially if you are on your way to your first job interview. Never go to battle without your shield and sword.

The highest paying jobs are like magnets that pull prospective students towards them. There is no big mystery in this reality since people study to work, they work to earn, and they earn to live. It is not difficult to understand that most people would want more than just to live. They want to live in comfort and in style, which is after all not a bad thing per se.

Except for a very few, people have to work to enjoy the comforts of life. The highest paying jobs present a ticket to the desired standard of living. These jobs do not only come with financial rewards but also typically command respect and provide better opportunities for career advancement. These are the positions that our modern world has now equated with success, thus the attraction.

People do not land the highest paying jobs out of nowhere. If one is to examine the lists of the most sought after positions in relation to financial rewards, it will be discovered that extensive prior work has to be done to get these jobs. Prior work would mean basic, advanced and continuous studies, as well as extensive experience. In other words, more work begets better work. This is just as well since there is no other way to prepare an individual who will be given an enormous amount of responsibility to handle.

In almost all lists of highest paying jobs, the surgeon comes out on top. It requires at least ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of serious training to become a surgeon. A person training to be one has to perform “lesser” tasks before being certified as a surgeon. He/she also has to pass required examinations. There is complete logic in all of these because the responsibility of life is at stake.

In a person’s pursuit of a job that pays more, the most basic things may be forgotten. A person can only be successful in his/her job if the sincere desire for the chosen career path exists. Otherwise, the job will always be something that he/she has to do and nothing else.

There is nothing free in this world. This is what we can realize after paying for every service, ads, sites, etc. we receive, see, and visit. But are we really going to get the things/items we are paying for in the Internet?

Pay-to-Any websites are really penetrating the industry and getting support for those who want to earn money such as the job seekers or unemployed. But everything has its own issues; and this is the reason why people should be careful with their dealings. There are some who claim that they are legal or something but the truth is they are just like the others who are considered to be scam. All they know is how to lure you and buy into whatever they say. They earn at the expense of others whose only intention is to earn money.

Reading online resources has helped me become abreast of what’s new in the world, what’s here to enjoy, what’s being developed and what’s there to expect in the future. As a professional, we are already aware of the basic do’s and dont’s in the work place. However, was there a time that we cared seriously about what we should avoid?

I read about an article that tackles seven deadly workplace sins that every professional seeking career advancement must prevent himself from committing. Just like the infamous seven deadly sins of man, these are emotional offenses that guarantee career failure when exhibited constantly or left uncontrolled.

Below are the alleged seven deadly workplace sins in no chronological order:

1.	pride
2.	envy
3.	anger
4.	short-sightedness
5.	complacency
6.	imbalance
7.	lust

To expound on each workplace sin, here’s the link to the article.

As the economy continues to slow down, the employment market remains as competitive as ever. When you’re among those who are holding on to a job either because you love it or you don’t have a better option for now, you could survive competition by practicing these career skills:

1.	Limit, if not totally avoid, office gossip. Engaging in office gossip not only affects productivity and friendships, you could also become a victim of intrigues and character assassinations which is a mentally exhausting experience.
2.	Learn to admit mistakes. The earlier you admit faults, the better. It leaves your reputation intact and your conscience clean.
