Cold Calling Your Way to a Job (Part 2)
Before you decide to incorporate cold calling into your job search, find out if you have the sales pitch of a salesman. Cold calling involves, first and foremost, talking to a stranger whom you have never had any contact or interaction before.
My advice is plain and simple: act like a professional telemarketer. This time, you are marketing yourself to your most important client of all time – the employer. Be confident and let your optimism and forward-looking attitude guide your way to employment. Also, be prepared for anything. You might get rejected at some point and get positive results in another. Hold your head up high because you have nothing to lose.
